I am Jorie Stephens, Owner / Certified Dog Trainer at SouthPaws Sports Scenter, LLC specializing in dog sports and basic behaviors using Positive Philosophy.
I have trained and competed with dogs for over 15 years in Agility, Rally/Obedience, and K-9 Nosework. I also trained Shelter dogs at Gwinnet Animal Shelter achieving the first C.L.A.S.S. certified dog in the state of Georgia in 2012.
Positive Philosophy is a powerful set of training and teaching principles:
1 – Positive reinforcement for good behavior
2 – Work in alignment with the dog’s cognitive style
3 – Build a bond with the dog It is a reward based training method giving the dog the “power of choice” to do the “right” behavior without the use of intimidation, physical punishment or fear.
