Beach Attendant - Unicoi State Park and Lodge

We are looking for a hard-working Activity Guide with a love for the outdoors.  

The Beach Attendant oversees the beach area with an emphasis on safety for beach patrons. Other duties include keeping the beach area bathrooms cleaned and stocked, picking up trash on and around the beach area, keeping the beach parking area in order and running the rescue boat as needed. This position is a fun, rewarding job with potential for promotion and free lunch is provided daily.

Essential Functions:

• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions and outdoor - This is an OUTDOOR position
• Run the rescue boat as needed
• Set-up, break-down and clean beach house daily
• Enforce beach and rental rules to ensure visitor's safety
• Keep beach, bathrooms and parking lot in the beach area clean and tidy
• Treat guest with a smile, friendliness, and respect
• Attend all training and meetings as scheduled
• Establish a report with the guest
• Review all safety standards with the guest
• Cash handling and bank ratification 
• Speak, read or write in English (Spanish is a plus)

Additional Requirements: Must be at least 16 years old, able to work AM and/or PM Shifts, weekend and holiday availability (specifically Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day and all weekends from May - October), a reliable vehicle and a working phone. Prefer CPR certified and boating license but not required. 

EXPERIENCE:  Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Must be able to lift 25lbs, sit, stand, walk, follow direction, and work a flexible schedule (including weekends & holidays).
