The Lavender Cottage & Garden is owned and operated by Judy and Glenn Walker in the beautiful Sautee-Nacoochee Valley in the Northeast Georgia Mountains. Judy and her husband Glenn were first introduced to Lavender when visiting France many years ago and fell in love with the aromatic herb.
After having always grown Lavender around their home, they were reintroduced to the wonderful herb on a trip through the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in 2011. Judy and Glenn began researching Lavender products and the versatility of the amazing herb. They began selling dried Lavender bouquets, loose Lavender buds, and a variety of natural bath and body products made with pure Lavender essential oil at local area festivals where customers would always ask where their store was located. After Judy retired as president of the White County Chamber of Commerce in December 2011 after 9 ½ years she and Glenn decided to take their passion for Lavender and open a gift boutique dedicated to providing locals and visitors to their area with a quaint shopping establishment committed to providing the utmost in quality products and customer service.
The boutique offers an extensive line of mostly organic, paraben-free and sulfate-free Lavender bath & body items. Their Lavender Culinary products feature teas, chocolate, honey, jams & spreads. Their line of home products features linen spray and dryer bags. Local artisan goods consist of baby gifts, pottery, paintings, jewelry, mosaic pieces, lighting, wood works to name a few.
