Collectible Christmas tree ornaments depicting historic sites in White County are available for sale from the Chamber of Commerce from now until January 6. These unique, one of a kind ornaments are popular with locals and visitors to give or collect.
The 2016 ornament, which is the sixth in a series, is of Stovall Bridge, one of the few covered bridges in northeast Georgia and the smallest in the state. Built in 1895, the bridge is located over Chickamauga Creek in the Sautee Valley.
The image of the bridge is in full color and the porcelain ornament is trimmed in 22 carat gold. It is made by Gateway China Co., and holds a brief history of the bridge on the back side.
These collectible White County ornaments are limited.
