Christmas in the mountains of White County begins with the Christmas in the Mountains Celebration & Lighted Parade. This popular community event kicks off the holiday season with festive fun and fantasy. We hope you will join us not just on Saturday, December 3 but throughout the month as we celebrate this joyful season. 5 - 8 p.m. Christmas in the Mountains Celebration! 4-6:30 p.m. - Pictures & Visits with Santa at Lamar Canup State Farm 5-8 p.m. - Holiday Market on the Cleveland Courthouse Square, including Merry Merchants Open Houses and live music by the Weaver Believers
5-8 p.m. - Food & Fun in Freedom Park 5-5:45 p.m. - Musical Performances in Freedom Park
5:45 p.m. - Luminaria lighting in Freedom Park
6:15 p.m. - Tree lighting in Freedom Park 7 p.m. - Lighted Christmas Parade – Downtown Cleveland
Applications are being accepted for all elements of the Christmas in the Mountains Celebration. These include the lighted parade, the Holiday Market, and food and activity vendors in Freedom Park.

Orders are being taken for the sixth White County collectible Christmas ornament. This year's ornament depicts the Stovall Covered Bridge, which is located in the Sautee Valley.
