The Lavender Cottage & Garden will host their Sixth Annual Lavender Fest on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Sautee Nacoochee, Ga. Festival attendees will experience a world of Lavender set against the backdrop of the Sautee and Nacoochee Valleys at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Spend the day discovering unique Lavender products, creating Lavender wands, sampling culinary Lavender treats and cutting your own fresh Lavender bouquet from the garden. Not only will Lavender lovers enjoy this festival, but there is something for everyone – enjoy Georgia Grown and Made food tastings of pickles from Athen's own Phickles Pickles, gourmet fruit spreads by local company Unicoi Preserves, Flavor of Georgia award winning jellies and jams from Fairywood Thicket Farm, and Georgia’s Sauces gourmet barbeque sauces and ketchup. Relax with a Lavender Dry Soda, a tropical flavored shaved ice snow cone from Kona Ice or indulge with a Strawberry Romanoff or Baklava by Chef Johannes Klapdohr with the Library Kitchen and Bar in Sapphire, NC while listening to live music by the Yonah Pickers Dulcimer Group, Kip Dockery Jazz Duo and Cheyenne Nicole Welborn. Kids will enjoy story telling from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with Debbie Fromme, have their face painted and feed the Lavender Orpington chickens. Attendees will also be able to take pleasure in a relaxing chair massage.
