For those seeking a specialized education, White Creek Christian Academy in Cleveland offers excellent instruction designed to develop students to their full potential. Utilizing the A Beka curriculum from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade, the school has educated over 700 children from White and the surround counties.
Lakeview Academy and Riverside Military Academy are located in nearby Hall County, Tallulah Falls School in Habersham County and the Rabun-Gap Nacoochee School in Rabun County are both independent college-prep boarding schools.
There are active home school associations in the area as well that offer cooperative and social opportunities for parents who want to educate their children at home.
White County has ample post-secondary choices as well. North Georgia Technical College located in Clarkesville provides credit and non-credit courses in medical, business, IT, technical, industrial and service fields. Many of the nearby colleges have articulation agreements with the technical colleges to credit courses taken towards bachelors degrees.
Lanier Technical College in Oakwood offers customized business and industry training, continuing education for technical and professional development and adult education services. Both technical colleges are a part of the Quick Start program in Georgia, offering customized technical training for companies.
Truett-McConnell College is a private, four-year college offering associates and bachelors degrees in Cleveland.
Piedmont College, in nearby Demorest offers four-year as well as graduate level programs for local students.
North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega has more than 50 majors, offering pre-professional, professional and graduate programs. It has been designated a Georgia Leadership Institution by the state Board of Regents.
In Gainesville, Brenau University offers under-graduate, masters and doctoral level degrees. Gainesville College and State University in nearby Oakwood offers Bachelors and Associates degrees.
