White County enjoys four beautiful seasons.

Spring is the start of rhododendron and mountain laurel blooms. Wildflowers grace the meadows and roadsides through November.

Summer is warm, lush and green. With our higher altitude, it is not as hot as the rest of Georgia and a shady tree and cool breeze are never far away.

Fall is a popular time here. The many forested mountains make for a spectacular fall.

Winter is brisk and the leaf fall opens the woods to views. While it does get cold here and we have the occasional snow fall, ice is a fairly rare and the weather rarely keeps people indoors or off the road.

The average annual temperature for White County is 56.3ºF. The average winter temperature is 45.1ºF and the average summer temperature is 69.8ºF.
