Small Businesses are a vital part of our economy, our community and your Chamber. In order to assist you, our Small Business Member and those wanting to start their own business, we provide a wide array of services and benefits. Including:
Need a FREE small
business mentor?
White County Rotary Club sponsors mentoring program for small business
owners -
Need a small business advisor? Want to learn to read and understand your
financials? White County Rotary Club, a community service club comprised of
local business leaders, is launching a mentor program. Rotarians will work
with business owners to help them:
- set and track goals
- learn to read, understand
and use financials
- network with other resource
providers
This program is free but does require a year commitment to meet with your
mentor at least once a month. For more information, call the club partner,

Business Plan Competition:
In our efforts to support entrepreneurship in White County the White County
Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the White County Department of
Community Planning and Economic Development are sponsoring a Business Plan
Competition to assist individuals who want to fulfill their dreams of
starting their own business and becoming an entrepreneur.
All plans will be judged by a panel of experts and the winner will receive numerous prizes to assist them in their business start-up needs i.e. $500 cash prize, 1 year membership in the White County Chamber of Commerce; 2 hours of free legal advice, signage and free advertising to name a few.
We will be accepting typed business plans from now until Friday, September 7, 2007. If you would like to participate in this program a small business plan outline can be found on our website to help you. If you require additional assistance in preparing your business plan we have made arrangements with the Rotary Business Leadership Connection which provides mentoring for micro-business owners to provide you with the additional support.
