Incentives in White County

White County is looking to enhance the employment opportunities of its citizens through the attraction, recruitment, and retention of high quality industries. To facilitate this effort, the White County Chamber of Commerce is committed to promoting the benefits of locating in White County. 

The process of attraction and recruitment of industry in economic development is based on a community's preparedness to provide an environment conducive to the success and growth of the industry and the community. The community's willingness to examine traditional arrangements, such as industrial revenue bonds (IRBs) and other financial opportunities, is as important as the company's commitment to the community in the form of well-paying jobs and benefits for the community's workforce, involvement in the community as a corporate citizen and concern for the impact of the project on the surrounding environment. 

The community must be willing to approach the development opportunity with an open mind towards success, which is often enhanced through the use of incentives. The use of incentives by local governments and other agencies can often serve to further advance the development of a relocation project. White County is just one of those communities that will examine every viable project for ways to enhance the community's and the company's chances for success.
