A True gift for the Community...

The Festival of Trees is a part of the 2010 Calendar of Events for the White County Chamber of Commerce & Alpine Helen/White County CVB.  The Festival adds to the excitement of the county's holiday events which includes the Helen Christmas Parade and Lighting of the Village in Helen; White Christmas on the Square and Lighted Parade in Cleveland; Deck the Halls and Gingerbread House Contest at Unicoi State Park; and the Tour of Homes.

There is no admission charge to come and enjoy the trees and wreaths which have all been decorated and sponsored by local businesses, individuals, and civic organizations.  This is a gift to the community from the White County Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Alpine Helen/White County CVB.  The event will include an ongoing silent auction of the trees and wreaths on display with all proceeds going to benefit United Way of White County and the agencies it serves.

The United Way of White County was formed in 1983 by concerning citizens interested in the well being of local non-profit agencies.  As a non-profit organization itself, it is governed by an all-volunteer, local board of directors and all of the good work is carried out by the dedicated, hard working volunteers.

All trees and wreaths are available for purchase through a silent auction.  Bidding ends Saturday, December 11 at 2:00 p.m.
