County seat: Cleveland,
Georgia; Helen, GA is the only other incorporated municipality in White County.
Location: Northeast Georgia mountain region encompassing the Appalachian mountains
and headwaters of the upper Chattahoochee River. Approximately 90 miles northeast of
Atlanta, Georgia. (Eastern Time Zone). White County is comprised of 241.6 square miles.
